There are numerous ways to get involved with Plymouth YMCA and becoing a Friend of Plymouth YMCA is a great place to start.
WHAT IS IT?
Friends of Plymouth YMCA is the name for the association of people that make up our community. This includes past and current: staff, Board of Directors members, students, service users, membership holders, sponsors, donors, volunteers, honorary members, contractors, distributors and funding agencies. Friends of Plymouth YMCA meets annually during the Reunion Weekend.
Its Purpose
The purpose of Friends of Plymouth YMCA is to extend and deepen the spiritual, intellectual and social relationships of our members.
Activities undertaken by Friends of Plymouth YMCA include fund raising, event organising, volunteering, and joining our Board of Directors.
Board of Directors
Board members give long-term strategic direction for the overall work of the organisation, playing a pivotal role in the development of Plymouth YMCA.
We are seeking to strengthen the Board of Directors at Plymouth YMCA with individuals who can support the Christian aims and purposes of the YMCA Movement. Candidates need to have a wide range of skills, knowledge and expertise in order to motivate our members to become more active within their community.
