Outdoor Centre: Bachelors Hall
Plymouth YMCA converted a dilapidated outbuilding nestled on the outskirts of Princetown into Bachelors Hall: now a comfortable base where the simple joys and beauties of Dartmoor can be experienced.
The centre is situated about ½ mile east of Princetown (SX.602736), and is approached by the road to Tor Royal and then by cart track suitable for a mini-bus. Download map of the area.
Bachelors Hall sleeps up to 28 people in three dormitories, and is complete with wood burning stove, shower/toilet amenities, twin meeting rooms and self-catering facility, along with two camping areas ideal for those desiring a more rugged adventure.
Footpaths from the doorstep provide easy access to north and south Dartmoor. Come and stay at Bachelors Hall and challenge yourself to take on some of the cycling, climbing, hiking, running, or exploring opportunities Dartmoor National Park has to offer.
